Hi I’m Dmitriy. I’m a Russian immigrant and I live in Los Angeles, CA with my wife. My obsession with all things “computers” began when my dad gave me a soviet version of Commodore 64 in early 90’s. The input was my cassette player and the output was the family TV, but that didn’t stop me, I was hooked. After surviving the immigration to United States at a young age, I realized that my dream is that much closer. Sometime during my sophomore year in high school, in a programming class, I realized what I wanted to do with my life, which is software development. This passion pushed me towards obtaining my Computer Science degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. After which, I hit the ground running as life took me into a highly demanding world of software development.

– In 2004, during my last bachelor semester, I landed my first internship at “Ocean Systems Engineering Corporation”, where I was actually being paid for writing code. For me it was a surreal feeling.

– In 2005, after graduating, my wife and I moved to Los Angeles. I took a developer position with “HQ Gift Cards”. This job laid the foundation for my backend development and web development skills, dealing with different sorts of transactional gift card data and presenting it to the end user.

– In 2009, during the economical crisis, I freelanced, which led me to an advertisement agency “Ignited Minds”. I found home here, using my strong software development background I quickly became the point man for most interactive projects, and used the opportunity to develop my frontend skills even further.
